Investor profile

British Columbia Investment (recently rebranded from bcIMC) is the fifth largest PPF in Canada, but it keeps a low profile, partly due to the fact that they only sit in the West Coast of Canada. It manages the capital of several pension plans and other public trusts in the province, and it leverages external asset managers and co-investment agreements with other SWFs and PPFs to gain access to high-quality assets. It recently launched the Global Partnership Fund, restructuring the positions it had with hedge funds.
